Most people want more fluence while certain people can only handle a low to medium fluence. The higher the fluence the quicker the body heats up. Laying on a the mat on medium heat intensity is different in fluence than having a mini mat on top also at medium intensity. In 1 hour sandwiched between these two mats at medium intensity can heat the body core temperature over twice as fast as laying on the mat at the highest temperature setting.
I personally using the Biomat for a longer time instead of doing a short session with the mat turned up to the highest setting. It can be very draining on my body to be under high fluence.
The highest fluence is when a Biomat is under and above me at the same time. Fluence like this is not the same thing as intensity. A mat on level one or the same mat on the highest level has to do with intensity, not fluence.
Having a Biomat Professional underneath and a Biomat Mini on top of me on the lowest setting will have more fluence than having the professional mat on high.
What I have recently done is I have been taking my queen Biomat and getting on one side and folding the other half on top of me. This is the most fluence I have been in. Many people get the Biomat Professional and lay on it and let all the heat to escape when they are trying to figure out why their core temperature is not raising. Someone can jack the temperature up high all day but if the fluence is not there they might not be getting the results they want because of that.
